Taking a lead on diversity

Our Inclusivity Group, comprising partners and senior support staff, was established in 2003 to embed diversity and inclusivity into the infrastructure of the firm, and to promote initiatives designed to address issues facing particular groups who are under-represented across the firm. We were the first City law firm to employ a dedicated Diversity Manager to help drive our programme forward.

We have established a firm-wide diversity training programme for all staff, and in addition have set up staff networks and focus groups based around gender, work/life balance, sexual orientation and gender identity, and ethnicity and multiculturalism.

Externally we participate in a range of initiatives, including the London Development Association's Diversity Works for London, the National Mentoring Consortium's mentoring programme for undergraduates, and the Stonewall Diversity Champions programme.

To help us deliver our objectives we work with several partner organisations including Opportunity Now, Stonewall, the Employers' Forum for Age, the Employers' Forum for Disability, Race for Opportunity, and Working Families, as well as a variety of student societies and groups.
