The  Paris office is our largest in Continental Europe and offers its French and international clients both civil and common law expertise. Specialist practice areas include international arbitration; corporate finance; intellectual property and information technology; and real estate, plus an energy and infrastructure group that has a specialised Africa team advising on energy, natural resources and infrastructure projects throughout Africa.
Our Paris team advises French and international firms in the industrial and service sectors, as well as financial institutions, investment banks, investment funds and a number of listed companies.

The office’s 100 lawyers, including 24 partners, are all fluent French and English speakers and advise on both civil and common law. We also have a team of lawyers advising on English law, many of whom are dual qualified.

We have a strong energy and infrastructure practice and Paris is also home to the core members of Herbert Smith's Africa practice, which advises blue-chip companies and local governments, primarily on the implementation and financing of energy, natural resources, telecoms and infrastructure projects throughout Africa.
