Alastair is the managing partner in Bangkok and joint head of the dispute resolution practice in Southeast Asia. His practice covers a wide range of local and regional disputes involving the construction, infrastructure and energy sectors and more general commercial and trade-related cases. He has extensive experience of advising Governments, multinationals and private companies on avoiding or resolving complex commercial issues around the region, and in conducting domestic and international arbitration and local or multi-national litigation. Alastair is a committee member of the Chartered Institute of Arbitrators in Thailand and the ICC’s national arbitration committee, and a regular speaker at regional conferences and seminars.

- a major multinational on contract issues and claims under an agreement with a Thai state enterprise for supply and installation of telecommunications infrastructure
- an international joint venture in complex US$50 million arbitration proceedings arising out of the construction of a 210km gas pipeline in central Thailand
