Alexander is an English law partner specialising in finance and projects with a focus on project finance and debt restructuring. In particular, he has over 15 years of project finance experience. He also advises on syndicated and bilateral lending, trade finance and acquisition finance. His sector experience covers oil and gas, power, metals and mining, transport, telecommunications and real estate.
Alexander joined our London office as partner in 2005 and relocated to the Moscow office in 2006. Alexander holds a Bachelor of Economics and a Bachelor of Laws from the University of Sydney.

- Gazprom and its joint venture partners as project sponsors and the project company as borrower on the €1 billion project financing to develop Yuzhno-Russkoye gas field in Western Siberia, Russia
- ING Bank as mandated lead arranger on a US$750 million export finance facility to Russian oil company TAIF-NK (winner 'Trade Finance Deal of the Year 2008' award from Trade Finance Magazine)
- Calyon and Deutsche Bank on a up to US$750 million secured financing for TNK-BP
- Gazprom Space Systems in relation to two trade finance loan facilities in the amount of €200 million and US$300 million respectively provided by BNP Paribas, Citibank and Crédit Agricole Corporate & Investment Bank, guaranteed by Gazprom and backed by COFACE, the French export-credit agency (euro-denominated facility only), to finance a turn-key satellite telecommunications contract with satellite and orbital-infrastructure builder, Thales Alenia Space
- Sinopec on its investment with Rosneft in the Sakhalin III oil and gas field
