Alex is a partner in the insurance and reinsurance litigation group with broad experience of acting for insurers and reinsurers as well as insureds and brokers. This includes advising on a wide range of coverage issues and disputes, subrogated recovery actions and contentious regulatory investigations. He specialises in coverage disputes in the energy insurance sector.
He also handles general commercial litigation and has considerable experience of product liability claims for both claimants and defendants. Alex also has experience of insurance insolvency issues. Alex leads the ADR practice within Herbert Smith's litigation and arbitration division and is a CEDR Accredited Mediator. He is a solicitor Advocate (Higher Courts Civil Proceedings).
