Alison's work covers advisory, transactional and litigation matters. She has extensive experience of advising employers and trustees on all aspects of pensions issues arising in connection with their schemes and on the pensions aspects of corporate transactions and restructurings. She has also considerable expertise in proceedings before the Pensions Ombudsman, the High Court and in dealing with the Pensions Regulator. Alison is a member of the Association of Pensions Lawyers and is a regular speaker at external events. She has been ranked as a leader in her field by Chambers.

- Heath Lambert - the restructuring of Heath Lambert involved the Regulator agreeing to pensions liabilities falling into the PPF in return for a stake in the new business. This was the first application of its kind
- Provident Financial on an ongoing project to convert the Provident Financial Scheme into a Cash Balance Scheme in respect of future service with an implementation date of 6 April 2006. This involved strategic advice at the outset of the project, advice in relation to the legal issues, negotiation with the trustees, advice regarding the employee consultation and communication process, and drafting relevant documentation
