Andrew Brown

Andrew advises on a wide range of employment issues, both contentious and non-contentious.

Contentious work includes Employment Tribunal claims such as unfair dismissal and unlawful discrimination and High Court proceedings such as the enforcement of restrictive covenants and bonus disputes.

Non-contentious work includes Board level reorganisations and executive terminations, drafting senior level employment contracts and bonus plans, advising on redundancies and restructurings and dealing with the employment aspects of corporate transactions such as acquisitions, outsourcings and takeovers, often cross-border.

He and his team were short listed for "Employment Team of the Year" in both Legal Business and The Lawyer Awards in 2003 for their work on the PwC Consulting transaction.

  • Marsh and Guy Carpenter on significant employment tribunal and High Court litigation, including in the Court of Appeal in the first reported case on the Brussels Regulations that determine where employers can bring claims against employees

  • O2, Logica and Co-operative Financial Services on major outsourcing projects
  • EDF Trading on a high value bonus claim in the High Court
