Christa's practice covers a wide variety of general commercial litigation with a particular emphasis on banking and financial services litigation including advice and litigation in relation to the contractual and other duties of banks, bond issues, derivatives, enforcement of security, constructive trust and asset recovery claims..
She has acted for those subject to DTI, SFA, PIA, Stock Exchange, Bank of England and FSA investigations, contested disciplinary proceedings and appeals, advising on judicial review of the regulators’ decisions and the professional negligence, d&o and e&o insurance policy issues which arise in such claims. She has been involved in advising the SIB, the SEC and the London Stock Exchange.
Christa has considerable experience of corporate fraud litigation (from the civil perspective) including professional negligence, breach of trust, constructive trust and breach of statutory duty claims together with asset tracing and recovery. She has been involved in litigation relating to Maxwell, BCCI, Polly Peck, Enron, Barings and Parmalat
Christa was temporary lecturer in law at St Edmund Hall, Oxford and is qualified as a Solicitor Advocate with full rights of audience in the higher Courts.
