Craig Shepherd

Craig advises on all forms of dispute resolution and represents clients as counsel in domestic and international arbitrations arising out of international commercial transactions.  Previously based in our Hong Kong office between 1995 and 2006, where he headed the construction and arbitration group in the region, Craig has gained extensive experience on infrastructure and energy projects around Asia and the Middle East.

Craig has rights of audience at the courts of the Dubai International Financial Centre, advising generally on disputes in the finance sector, construction, telecoms and corporate acquisitions

• Merrill Lynch on the construction and real estate aspects of the Villamar sukuk to finance the development of "Villamar@theHarbour", a luxury residential development located within the prestigious Bahrain Financial Harbour District
• International construction disputes arising out of major projects in Doha Qatar
• both the Joint Ventures in relation to disputes arising out of the construction of both the Northern and the Southern Runways at Chek Lap Kok Airport, Hong Kong
• the Government of Hong Kong in HK$1 billion mediation proceedings
• a Middle East investment company on disputes concerning the acquisition of a national telecoms company
• a telecommunications company on disputes concerning the acquisition of a national telecoms company
• various shareholders in disputes concerning the sale of their shares in a Middle East publishing company
