As senior partner, a role he has held since April 2005, David Gold chairs the LLP Council, the firm's main governance body. Working closely with the firm's global practice heads he is responsible for the development of Herbert Smith's strategy and for the development of the firm's relationships with its major clients.
His legal practice encompasses large-scale commercial litigation, much of it with an international dimension. In addition to general contractual disputes, he advises on disputes regarding joint ventures, partnership and shareholder disputes, banking (notably derivatives related) litigation, commercial fraud, professional indemnity claims, computer-related litigation and defamation. He has wide experience of all types of injunctive remedy.
