Emmanuelle Bouretz
Emmanuelle is a member of our commercial litigation practice in Paris who specialises in litigation in the reinsurance, banking and securities sectors. She also advises in relation to regulatory litigation and represents major investment banks before the AMF. Her clients include major banks such as Goldman Sachs, Credit Lyonnais, Calyon and Crédit Suisse. She also advises Citigroup generally on various regulatory issues.
Emmanuelle holds a DEA (MPhil) and a Ph.D in law from the University of Paris I Panthéon-Sorbonne, with a thesis on international syndicated loans (true loan and loan participation). She has been giving graduate seminars at the University of Paris I in banking and finance law since 2004, and is a member of a research group on structured finance for a legal journal.
She is the author of an essay on "Syndicated loans: transfers and risk-sharing between banks", published by Revue Banque, and is a frequent contributor and columnist with several legal and banking journals (banking and finance litigation and regulatory developments). She is currently finalising a new book on AMF and Banking Commission "pouvoir de sanction et recours contre les décisions de sanction".
