John is group chief operating officer. He is responsible for the financial and administrative affairs of the firm worldwide including tax planning, budgeting and planning for growth.
In addition, John's stewardship of the firm's finances includes accountancy and regulatory duties. He is a member of the firm's executive committee.
John qualified as a chartered accountant in 1975 and has over 30 years service at Herbert Smith.
