Karen is a Professional Support Consultant working in the firm's Financial Services Regulatory practice. Before joining the firm, she was a senior associate at Clifford Chance LLP and also served a 15 month secondment with the Financial Services Authority, conducting investigations for the regulator as an investigator appointed under the Financial Services Act 1986. Prior to that, she was a prosecutor with the Commonwealth DPP in Australia.
Karen has advised and acted for a wide variety of financial institutions, and other professionals and service providers working in the financial services sector, in relation to regulatory matters and disputes, in the UK and overseas. She has also advised both regulators and disciplinary panels. Karen now concentrates on providing technical advice on issues on regulatory issues, analysing new law and regulation, and ensuring that the firm and its clients are at the forefront of regulatory law and practice. She has been an active participant in the work of the LIBA City Liaison Enforcement Group since 1997.
