Paul Griffin
Paul heads the Global Energy Practice at Herbert Smith and has over twenty five years experience in the energy sector, with wide experience in the oil, gas, LNG and power sectors gained from international transactions and projects. These range from corporate transactions and projects to regulatory and competition work, privatisations and financings. He has also been much involved in energy disputes, in litigation, arbitration and expert determinations.

- Apache Corporation in the purchase of the Forties Oil Field from BP
- TXU Europe in the disposal of its European gas and power businesses and the work-out of their structured gas and power transactions
- Total in relation to upstream developments and the renegotiation of gas for power contracts in Myanmar and Thailand
- Israel Electric Corporation on the development of the Egypt/Israel pipeline and sales of gas from Egypt to Israel of natural gas from Egypt and offshore Israel
- Hong Kong and China Gas Company Limited regarding participation in the Guangdong LNG project and related gas offtake
- BTC Pipeline Company on the export of oil and petroleum products from the Caspian Sea to European markets
- Pars LNG in relation to the development of liquefaction facilities in Iran and sales of LNG to Asian markets
