Peter is a partner specialising in capital markets transactions, particularly in emerging markets. He has extensive international experience having advised leading global investment banks and major corporates on a broad range of debt, equity and equity-related and regulatory capital transactions many of which have been acknowledged for their innovative nature and complexity.
Peter recently joined Herbert Smith from the London office of White & Case, where he had been a partner in the capital markets practice. Prior to that, he had practised in the London, New York and Washington, DC offices of Linklaters. In 1998 Peter spent a year on special appointment to the World Bank’s Treasury Finance department in Washington, DC.
Qualified to practise both English and New York law, in 2008 Peter was one of nine finance lawyers featured in The Lawyer's 'Hot 100' issue in which he was recognized as a lawyer to watch in capital markets. He is also named in the UK Legal 500 (2007) and IFLR1000 (2008).
