Peter handles a wide variety of contentious and non-contentious domestic and global issues. Contentious issues include complex proceedings in the employment tribunals particularly involving discrimination or whistleblowing; High Court proceedings for breach of contract or injunctive relief; various issues with trade unions including statutory recognition disputes and industrial action; and internal investigations of issues including bullying and fraud. Non-contentious matters include advice on major transactions; drafting employment-related documentation and implementing restructurings.
He is an active member of the Employment Lawyers Association and the European Employment Lawyers Association and sits on the former's Legislative and Policy Subcommittee. He was a member of the team advising the UK Government on proposed reforms to the business transfer regulations (TUPE). He appears as one of the UK's leading employment lawyers in the current editions of both Chambers and the Legal 500 legal directories.
