Although much of PPP in the UK is concerned with the procurement of accommodation, many of the projects we have advised on have been highly technical – ranging from Government laboratories to nuclear facilities, sophisticated defence equipment, river crossings, high speed rail links, traffic management communications systems and Government secret communications.
We advised on the financing of the ICL PFI IT project for HM Customs and Excise, the first project-financed PFI IT project and are now advising a number of IT clients on the government’s new regime for IT projects.
We have developed a reputation for getting to grips with the often complex technical issues underlying technology infrastructure projects, such as the National Roads Telecommunications Services Project and the reform of the nuclear clean-up industry.
Clients include the Department of Trade and Industry, the Health and Safety Laboratory, GCHQ, QinetiQ and National Air Traffic Services.
